Segregating infrastructure for a beverage spin-off across three countries

A leading global beverage company

The challenge

What the client was trying to solve

A business spin-off needed its own IT infrastructure, identity and devices separated from the parent company across three countries and five locations.

The business problem

  1. 01

Migration to a new legal entity spanning three countries and five locations.

  2. 02

A cloud-first approach was needed to modernise and optimise infrastructure during the transition.

  3. 03

Identity, user profiles and Active Directory objects had to move without a trust relationship between the parent and new domains.

Branta's approach

How we worked back from the outcome

A new AD forest with a no-trust migration, cloud-first on Azure, executed with a playbook and workshops across three countries.

  1. Designed and deployed a new Active Directory forest and domain structure using a no-trust migration approach.

  2. Migrated end-user devices, printers and user profiles tied to critical applications such as Navision ERP, using automated AD migration tools with DNS and network configuration on Azure.

  3. Ran stakeholder workshops across the three countries.

  4. Produced a migration playbook for smooth, consistent transitions and aligned infrastructure policies.

  4. Technology

    Devices, printers and profiles

Migrated with Navision ERP dependencies intact

  5. Measured outcome

    Independent, cloud-based entity

    Segregated and future-ready

Technology

  • Azure
  • Active Directory
  • Automated AD migration tools
  • DNS and network configuration
  • Navision ERP

The outcome

Measured, not described

3
countries
5
locations migrated to the new entity
  • Infrastructure segregated successfully, with operational clarity and efficiency.
  • A future-ready, cloud-based architecture that outperforms the parent setup.
  • Scalability and operational resilience to support the spin-off’s growth.

What changed

The spin-off runs on its own cloud-based infrastructure, separated cleanly from the parent, with a platform that outperforms what it left.
